First calendar year Richard's Pipit at Fedje in Hordaland county on the 28th of September 2003. The species is a vagrant in Norway with about 30-40 birds recorded annually. This is one out of about 15 birds that have been reported in Norway since September 6th. Note that it still has only juvenile median coverts, and unmoulted parts of the scapulars and mantle.
First autumn Barred Warbler at Espevær, Bømlo in Hordaland county 27th of September 2003. This was only the second record in the municipality, and about the 25th county record.
Barred warblers are rare breeding birds in southernmost Norway, and are usually seen as juveniles on autumn migration elsewhere.
